“What the world needs now, is love sweet love,
It’s the only thing that there’s just too little of”
Dear World: we do in fact desire much more love and compassion in our lives. It’s important that we start caring for each other in an unconditional and non judging way and to love ourselves first. Then we can begin caring about others.
Dear World: the media tells us we must buy more products to enhance ourselves because we are not perfect but we are enough. We came here with everything we need. It’s just that somewhere along the line we fell into the trap of thinking we were not enough, we are less than. It’s diminishing and cuts down our self-worth. We were told over and over and over: “You are not enough; you need (such and such to make you a better person)”. We will start believing in ourselves.
Dear World, it’s important that we recover our power. All of the teachings point toward being grateful for everything we have. This is difficult when we live in a world that tells us we are not enough and sets up imaginary limitations and boundaries. When I take a good look around and notice the riches I have in my life and understand the suffering others are going through, I feel very, very fortunate.
Dear World: Why in heaven’s name is everyone in such a terrific hurry? Where are they all going and why does it have to be like this? They are running over each other to get from A to B??? I do not understand.
Dear World: It seems like we are living in the wild, Wild West where no laws abide and people are so desperate. It’s important that our leaders stand up and be accountable. We want our communities to be safe for everyone.
Dear World, when did we lose hope and faith? How do we get this back? What do we need to do to turn things around so our communities are safe, people are safe? How about sprinkling love and compassion into the mix?
Dear World: help us to create partnerships where everyone is included, heard and respected. We must trust each other and get rid of this “dogs eat dog” mentality. United we stand, divided we fall.
Dear World: let us start working together to build a better world of understanding, coöperation and peaceful communities.
Dear World: We have to put an end to gossip. Talking about others (friends or family, it doesn’t matter) is hurtful and diminishes us. Our word is very powerful. Some tribes have a habit of talking about its members behind their backs and this is very harmful.
Dear World: things would be much brighter if each and every one of us took the time during the day to say a kind word or perform an act of kindness. Even a smile can brighten up a stranger’s day.
Dear World: One last thing! Maybe we’d all be happier if we didn’t take things so seriously and tried to lighten up a little! Go ahead and plan some fun today!
