#40DaysofSelfLove – Day 5 – A Walk in my Inner World

DCF 1.0

“We can make our minds so like still water that beings gather about us that they may see, it may be, their own images, and so live for a moment with a clearer, perhaps even with a fiercer life because of our quiet.”
― W.B. Yeats

One (1) act of self-love every day for 40 days. Sounds easy right? Well it actually is. Sometimes thinking about ways to love me is not always easy. Yet, as I follow my companions on the 40 Day challenge I see a loving act can be as easy as taking 15 minutes of pure silence.

Set the intention:

Today, this is what I am going to do. I am going to turn off the T.V., the radio, the computer, the phones and sit with myself, and maybe some paper and makers and just listen to my heart. Maybe I will draw, and maybe I wont, the importance is that I truly listen to the whispers of my spirit. What does it want? What is it longing for?

Connecting with source is really crucial to my healing. Yet, I often neglect this part of me, and get caught up in the hustle bustle of the noise of the world. The news, the negativity, the cars screeching by.

No, today, my 15 minutes of silence will be silent. Hurry! Close all the windows and doors. Find the perfect spot and just listen. I want to experience a whole different world. The space which lives in the dimension of my soul. Since I have agoraphobia I am limited to the surrounding area, and get very VERY frustrated at times, thus I feel like I am on house arrest. However, when I tune into my inner world, I have the freedom do go anywhere I want to go. I can even invent a magical place with all my favorite things:

Willow trees, fairies, a lake, a picnic basket, flowers, bees, and butterflies. There is a hammock for me to lie on and a boat for me to row. There are secret hiding spaces, and magical passage ways which would safely take me into a different world. There are no limitations in this place of mine. In fact, there are not mosquitos, and if there were, they wouldn’t be the kind that bite.

So where am I going to go today?

The fun is in the mystery…

What self-love acts have you done lately?

and rightdoing there is a field.

I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”

  1. I love that you are posting daily on our 40 days of self love, Kim. You’ve described the wonderful thing about going to our inner space and that is the fact we can make it into whatever we want! Once again you’ve inspired me. Thank you!!! xoxo

I think the fairies still want to play.. They are swinging from buttercup to buttercup…

The magical path is ahead.. I think I’ll walk that way!

  3. Following your example. Taking those 15 minutes of silence NOW! You ROCK Kim 🙂

  4. Oh, I love where you are today, Kim!
Tell me, do, have the fairies spoken to you?
Have the elves tugged and played?
Have the ferns to music swayed?
Have you found the magic… that is You?
